Elisabeth Ferlic, MD, Board-Certified Urologist in Salt Lake City
Dr. Ferlic is one of only two board-certified urologists in the state fellowship-trained in voiding dysfunction and female pelvic medicine. She treats bladder, pelvic, and prostate conditions in women and men across the Salt Lake Valley.

A urologist who treats bladder and pelvic conditions of every kind
The conditions Elisabeth Ferlic, MD, treats are often the hardest ones to bring up: urine leakage when you laugh, cough, or lift; waking several times a night to urinate; an enlarged prostate (BPH) that has made urination difficult. Many patients put these problems off for years, then apologize for raising them when they finally come in. No apology is necessary. She has spent her career treating exactly these conditions, and more than 200 patients have left Google reviews describing the experience.
Dr. Ferlic is a board-certified urologist and one of only two in Utah fellowship-trained in voiding dysfunction and female pelvic medicine. That fellowship included female pelvic reconstruction and neuro-urology, so she treats nerve-related bladder conditions (neurogenic bladder) that most pelvic health clinics refer elsewhere. Very little that involves the bladder falls outside her training.
Some patients sought her out specifically, often because they wanted a woman urologist for concerns that are hard to raise. Others were referred by their primary care physicians. Most stayed in her care for years afterward. Today she sees women and men of all ages across the Salt Lake Valley, and her new practice is built to continue that work.
Unhurried visits and plain answers
A typical urology appointment inside a large health system lasts about ten minutes. That limit is one of the main reasons Dr. Ferlic opened her own practice. Because she sets her own schedule, a visit lasts as long as the problem requires. Patients leave knowing what is going on, what each option involves (pelvic floor therapy, medication, procedures, surgery), and what she would recommend for a member of her own family.
She also explains conditions in plain language. Stress urinary incontinence is described as leaking when you laugh, cough, or exercise; BPH is described as a prostate that has grown enough to slow the stream. The clinical terms go in your chart, and the explanation is for you.
- You are heard first: your history and symptoms are reviewed before any test is ordered
- Every option is discussed: conservative treatment is considered before any procedure
- Symptoms are taken seriously
Dr. Ferlic spent years practicing with Intermountain Health, caring for thousands of patients across the Wasatch Front and earning more than 200 Google reviews. She is grateful for that time, and it shaped her sense of what she wanted to build next.
In her own practice, the schedule is set by what each patient needs rather than by a fixed appointment length, so visits are not rushed. Treatment options are chosen on clinical merit, including pelvic floor therapy, bladder Botox, and pelvic reconstruction. One physician follows your care from the first conversation through the final follow-up, for women and men alike.
Telemedicine is expected to begin between mid-December 2026 and early January 2027. In-person visits are planned to begin February 15, 2027. Call the practice to ask about scheduling.
A female urologist in Utah, for both women and men
Many patients search specifically for a female urologist in Utah and find few options; only a handful of women practice urology in the state. For many women that matters. It can be easier to describe leaking, prolapse, or pain during intimacy to another woman, particularly the first time those concerns are said aloud.
Men are equally welcome. Dr. Ferlic has treated men throughout her career, including enlarged prostate (BPH), weak urinary stream, frequent nighttime urination, and vasectomy, and men make up a large share of her practice. Patients of every gender receive the same careful evaluation and a clear treatment plan.
