Patient resources
Here you will find what to expect at your first visit, where insurance coverage stands, and the same patient handouts Dr. Ferlic recommends in the exam room, for women and men alike.
Your first visit, step by step
Telemedicine is expected to begin between mid-December 2026 and early January 2027. In-person visits are planned to begin February 15, 2027. Call the practice to ask about scheduling. The three steps below explain how scheduling will work.
Reach out
Reach out to our dedicated team through our Contact page. That is the entire first step; there is nothing to print, fax, or send at this stage.
We call to schedule
When scheduling opens, a member of our office staff will call you directly to find an appointment time that works for you. You will speak with the practice itself rather than an outside call center.
What to bring
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of your current medications, and any records or imaging you already have. If your records are held at another clinic, let us know and we can request them for you.
Insurance information
Contact the practice to ask about your plan and visit costs.
For Hormone & menopause care, ask the practice about billing and which visit types are available.
If you have a question about a specific plan, mention it when you reach out. The practice can explain which visit costs apply before scheduling.
Patient education you can trust
Reliable health information can be hard to find online. The handouts below come from the Urology Care Foundation, the patient-education arm of the American Urological Association. Dr. Ferlic, a board-certified urologist with fellowship training in female pelvic medicine and voiding dysfunction, selected each one and recommends the same materials to her patients in the office.
Leaking urine (incontinence)
This handout explains why urine leaks occur with coughing or exercise and reviews the treatments available, including pelvic floor therapy and brief office procedures.

Overactive bladder
Sudden urgency, frequent bathroom trips, and waking at night are hallmarks of an overactive bladder. This guide covers what causes the condition and how it is treated.

Pelvic organ prolapse
Many women notice pelvic pressure or a bulge sensation after childbirth. This handout explains prolapse in plain language and outlines the options for treating it.

Enlarged prostate (BPH)
An enlarged prostate can interfere with both urination and sleep. This guide reviews the medications and procedures that relieve those symptoms.

Vasectomy
This handout describes what the procedure involves and what recovery looks like, and answers the questions men most often ask beforehand.

Kidney stones
Kidney stones are common, and many pass on their own. This guide explains why stones form, what to expect when passing one, and when a stone requires treatment.

Reading about your symptoms is a good first step. To learn how these conditions are treated at our practice, visit women's pelvic health, men's urology, or all services.
